Privacy Policy
This page explains, in plain language, what information Drumtify One collects when you use the app, why we collect it, and what choices you have. Drumtify One is built and published by the Drumtify team.
The short version
We try to keep this simple. Drumtify One stores most of what you do on your own device. When you choose to sign in with your Google account, we ask only for read access to your YouTube playlists so the app can show them inside Drumtify One. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising trackers.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you sign in with Google so the app can read your YouTube playlists, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and a token that lets the app fetch your public and private playlist data on your behalf. You can disconnect the account at any time from the Account section in the app.
If you contact us by email, we keep the message and your email address for as long as needed to reply and follow up.
Information collected automatically
When the app talks to our servers, we record the kind of information any web service records. That includes the time of the request, the type of device, the operating system version, the app version, and a coarse network identifier. We use this to keep the service healthy, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.
We use a small amount of crash reporting so that when something goes wrong we can see what went wrong and fix it. Crash reports do not include your music history, your messages, or your contacts.
Information stored on your device
Your search history, your favourites, your listening progress, and any music files you transfer over Wi Fi stay on your device. Removing the app removes that data with it.
How we use information
- To run the app and make features such as playlist sync, search, and playback work as you expect.
- To keep the service available and to protect it against fraud and abuse.
- To respond to your questions and to send service messages such as a notice about an outage or a change to this policy.
- To improve the app over time, by looking at trends in how features are used. This is done with aggregated numbers, not your individual activity.
Information sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with services that help us run Drumtify One, such as cloud hosting, crash reporting, and authentication. Those services act on our instructions and are bound by contracts that limit how they may use what they receive. We may also share information when the law requires it.
Your YouTube account
Drumtify One uses the YouTube Data API to read playlists from your account. We never write to your YouTube account, never post on your behalf, and never read your watch history. You can revoke access at any time by signing out inside Drumtify One, or from the Google Account permissions page.
For details on Google services, see the Google Privacy Policy. For YouTube specific terms, see the YouTube Terms of Service.
Data retention
Account information stays for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except for the small number of records we are required to keep for tax, billing, or fraud prevention reasons.
Children
Drumtify One is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us and we will remove the account.
Your choices
- You can disconnect your YouTube account from Account inside the app.
- You can clear local data by removing the app.
- You can ask for a copy of your account data, or for it to be deleted, by writing to privacy@drumtify.one.
Changes to this policy
If we make a change that affects how your information is used, we will update the date at the top of this page and, when the change is meaningful, we will let you know inside the app.
